This is actually true, though that's because most people underestimate the complexity of Andean and Mesoamerican civilizations in general, and think of them are barely civilized stone age cultures rather then complex, urban political states, comparable to cultures from classical antiquity in some ways or even contemporary eurpope; not because they were Atleanteans or Aliens or whatever /x/ tier shit
