Do you guys think computer proofs for things like the four color theorem are valid? Imagine what would happen if some quantum tunneling were to occur and flip a bit which would mess up the entire computation. Imagine if this kept on happening, you could lower the statistical chances by constantly running the program on different machines at different times but this still does not fix the underlying issue.

Rene Descartes is known for saying "Cogito ergo sum," or in English, "I think therefore I am." However, if we think about mathematics, one of the worst of problems the crumbled most foundations was self referencing, as with what classically happens with a set that contains all sets not containing themselves. Could it be that Descartes reasoning here is flawed and for the very same reason, that he has essentially used inconsistent reasoning that can prove anything?
