Hi /sci

anyone on here know anything about micros and DAQs and computers?

I want to start collecting data, temperature, proximity, huumidity, light, sound whatever from analog sensors in my room (and car) and write programs to record and display the data and control things , motors, lights, etc on my pc.

what should I get?

picture not really related

>somehow get to topic of engineers, teacher asks who in the class is doing engineering
>maybe 20 out of 400 raise hands, two are me and the girl next to me
>as lecture ends bring that up, ask her what field
>tells me hers, i say mine, then i bring up our introductory lab class
>explain my team's project as we're walking out, she says what her's is, describes the project
>~omg this is going great, we can talk for so long
>OK BYE
>she walks into bathroom as we get to it 10 ft away from exit to lecture

At least taking a small bit of it in readable form and saying "Here's the source so you can see it all" is better than just posting something completely unreadable.

On another topic, this is one of my favourite infographics.

i have no honest idea why or even whether any particular person sitting in front of a computer is receiving anything from me but this ist besides the point that i am presently engaged in such an experiment

we are at a stage of research in telepathy that even the fleetingiest reported contact or a possible mentioning of one or something is doing science's work.

Think start of 18th sentury:they didnt know why magnets worked but they just picked them up and fucked around with them, making them stick at the ends.
you get my drift?

ive beeen told im a strong telepath potentially reaching from berlin to bremen and potentially far wider thats why i am trying but not caring particularilly where the receiver sits; i aim for all of them hehe

so what do i send that is recognisable and random enough and is uplifting?

sure, i get that on the surface

i'm talking about the actual calculations for GF(2^2) of 1 + 1 = 0 and 2 + 2 = 0 and 3 + 3 = 0

There was a thread talking about ''Community college'' and i got curious to know what it is
In the US you guys have an exam called SAT for college admissions right?
Do you guys usually go to cram school to prepare for it?
Because i tough in the US it was different the way you guys choose the students aproved for college
I tough it was based on the grades you got while in highschool, not with an exam applied to the whole country
If it really is based on the grades you get in highschool i really think that is something unfair because this gives the opportunity for people who study in a bad school that is easy to be approved to the best colleges of the country, is it like that?

Hi /sci/.
I am a 17 year old student from Norway, i am a science geek and love everything there is to know about it.

I am going to USA for a year as an exchange student, and people say you are like 3 years after us when it comes to high school.

If i would study here in Norway i would start in 2nd grade high school. In the US thats 1st.

What do u learn the first year?

Going chemistry, physics and math.
