All my life I've been fascinated with the world around me, but there's simply to much to learn. I've always been frustrated with how overwhelming all the information was, but over the years my ability to understand things that years before I twisted my mind trying to get into my head gave me hope that my mind was just developing, and that someday I'd have a complete picture.

But now then I realized that my brain was only going to develop and advance in intelligence until a certain age, and then aging would cause my brain to actually decline. Who knows when the year may come where I'm at the height of the understanding I'll ever possess, following which can only be decline.

I got a 4.73 GPA on average by the end of grad school, and still can't get hired worth shit in my field. And it's even more aggravating that dumb psychology major broad in the humanities department got hired into her field right after getting her bachelors with a 3.03 GPA maximum, and that douchey artfag that got like a 2.9 with a sociology degree not only got a job in his field while still in college, but has been making more than both of us combined. It's just not fair how the lowly intelligent end up getting a better future than the highly intelligent.

Psychology and political science are not only more in demand in their field, but outside it as well (like business research for the psych. side and news correspondancy for the political science), and get paid more for their work. The only hard science I can think of that are either more in demand or just as in demand as the two (and more so than physics and chemistry) would be medicine, and it's easy to see why. The general public values physics and chemistry too little for it to be significant from a job/finance prospect (which is why entertainment always reigns dominant even in depressions), anyone who feels otherwise are just wishful thinking and/or high schoolers that have yet to actually research either fields.

Hey /sci/, last week in gen chem lab I did an experiment with a slit of hair and a laser(red 633nm wavelength) and measured the width of the resulting laser. From a distance of 5 feet the entire width was 40mm. For our write up we have to answer if we think a green laser(532 nm) will have a wider or shorter width. The only thing that affects amplitude is intensity, which we are given no information on. Would it be wider or more narrow?
