I schizophrenic man once told me I should use my laptop to connect to a satellite.

I now realize this may be possible.

How do I go about making a peer to peer connection via a satellite? Say I relay a text message from NZ to AUS.

If I beam a signal up is there anyway this can work? Do I need a partliuar "key" or something for the satellite to bounce the message back down?

I am really confused..
