So let me get this straight: in order to have your spin-half field relativistically invariant you need your spinors representation gamma matrices to have 4 components and not 2 (in order to satisfy the Clifford algebra that is in turn intimately related to the Lorentz SO(3,1)), or in other words your theory needs to be invariant with respect to ALL (including the improper) the Lorentz transformations that include parity transformations. Hence your spinor fields needs to incorporate both left- and right-handed spinors and your spin-half particles must have corresponding antiparticles.
