I personally know heads of tech faculties that have refused to "help" students because they looked "not nerdy enough" (paraphrased)
By "help" I mean actually, properly guiding him based on his doubts and questions as opposed to merely 'the answer is 5 and im busy right now'.

These are just the important people, plenty of teachers and sub-staff in my faculty have this sort of hate for proto-chad types. Anyone metioning football gets outsider treatment, anyone not dressing in math-joke graphic tshirts, unshaven patchy beard and thick glasses is assumed to be kind of lost in his career choice, and expected to drop out once TRVE MATH begins and they go back to BBA or journalism.

>blonde guy knocks on the door of our department
>mfw undergrad teacher aide asks the faux surfer dude in a tanktop if he's lost when he enters the room without knocking
>hfw the cobain lookalike is the geoinformatics masters guy that we asked for 2 hours ago
He actually was lost but he came to the right door so no biggie.

It's basically statistics with some basic programming skills. The reason people call it data science instead of statistics is because it's a huge buzzword with employers who don't know dick about dick.

Sometimes It pays to be a dirty manual labour brainlet. Assuming you don't want to simply just move the cabinet or dismantle a single piece of it, here's what you do you fucking morons:

Get a long thin peice of wood that is a bit smaller than a glass panel and as tall as the cabinet.
File the edge to make a right angle so you can wedge it between bowl and glass
make a few more of these except make the next ones larger than the glass panel
Open the cabinet door but only enough to shove smaller brown wood piece into
wedge it between bowl/glass
wedge bigger pieces between wood piece and cabinet door
do this until the glass door is open enough to put hand in it
hold wood and open cabinet door fully
now fix plates with empty hand

Wew lads for all of the talking about brainlets and intelligence you lot sure are retarded as fuark.

you clearly haven't read his comment. it's not a matter of opinion, that's why you're wrong and look like a retard. it's sounds like scientology to you? Oh boy, why are you even on a science board?!

Yes, I'm a doctor who sees this shit every other day.
I'm not saying the system is infallible, doctors make mistakes like everyone else.
But make no mistake. Brain death is death. I've been to medical school. you haven't.
Either what happened there was a medical miracle or the doctors fucked up. Guess which one is more likely.

Sup /sci/
So I have a question for everyone who had some physics related post secondary education.

I'm in grade 12 and honestly don't have a brain for physics (84% in grade 11, probably 86%ish in grade 12) yet I badly would like to be an engineer (civil or mechanical).

I'm aware that about 3/4th the people usually quit at some point through uni, do you think I stand a chance? Share some stories of your own

I have a quick question: Are there lots of negative or positive ions in air?

How about at high altitudes?
And how about in space?

I'm designing a simulation. There is are conflicting variables in an unknown algorithm (may be linear). I just was wondering if anyone can figure out how I got a (6) when using the number 5(4ish times). Other answers to the algorithm are 25 and 250. In other other words. How do I get a 6 when using the numbers 5. With other answers being 25 and 250
