>5 premeds (total 9 students)
>I am leading my own project, suckered 1 premed into being my bitch to do all my bench work by telling them I'll teach them how to do stuff.
>Just chilling/reading/researching/socializing while my lab bitch does work
>Look over at the other research project going on
>It's 1 girl (being following around by 4 premeds)
>She is preparing an agarose gel
>the 4 premeds follow her around the lab watching her filling up graduated cylinders with DI water
>I laugh to myself at how bizarre it is

So, is this what all labs are like with premeds in it? These premeds are wasting their time and not learning anything/even trying to learn/do stuff...why are they even there?

What do people normally write in their personal statement? I've got nothing special about me other than I've gone to school for 2 years, learned some molecular techniques and basic bioinformatics, and some general knowledge. I've got no publications or research experience and there are no research opportunities at my community college. (I transfer to uni this Fall at least)
