I don't know on which level you ask why this is the case, but I find it to be pretty obvious. I react the same way. You are supposed to know englisch but more or less every human can be proud of not being a machine.

If someone points out some math errors then it's immediatenly helpful but when one points out grammar errors then always trying to demonstrate superiority. Aspie-/sci/-ducks are especially bad at formulating corrections in a friendly and helpful manner.

There is this nice visualization of the values of integrals in terms of areas and volumes, but I still don't want to root math in reality.
