I'm for Sal Khan's approach.

Kids should be watching/viewing lectures for homework. This way a student gets access to someone who knows how to effectively communicate an idea as opposed to a teacher who might understand the concept but can't communicate it (which is what education is all about).

Then the kids go to school and do the problems. For the full duration of the class the students get to work through the problems and can ask the teacher or another student for help. If the teacher sees a recurring problem he/she can go over the problem with everyone to try and correct what went wrong.

Am I right in assuming the best solution to build on the moon for long term is to dig into the rock?

Reduces radiation, collisions, easier to maintain and lock in atmosphere.

Am I wrong? It's not like the rock we keep finding is particularly dense, or you would have to spend high energy to fight gravity. Is there any real advantage to building the surface other than cost?

/sci/, would you be mad if I said I decided to pick General Science as my major instead of picking a specific field of study? I just love science so much I couldnt possibly decide one field.
