Acceleration, bro. Even a total brainlet can see the use of that. Not to mention optimization. Also, you can predict shit about a graphs using derivatives that you couldn't otherwise have known with ordinary algebraic techniques. If you've studied derivatives at all, which I assume you have, you should really know all this. So, what's the problem?
