And to follow up, let's see what other paleoclimatologists have to say. Maybe Berner was a fluke.

>Royer DL, Berner RA, Montanez IP, Tabor NJ, Beerling DJ. 2004. CO2 as a primary driver of Phanerozoic climate change. GSA Today, 14(3): 4-10.

>CO2 as a primary driver of Phanerozoic climate change.

No, that can't be right. Okay let's try another one:

>Royer DL, Berner RA, Park J. 2007. Climate sensitivity constrained by CO2 concentrations over the past 420 million years. Nature, 446: 530-532.

>Climate sensitivity constrained by CO2 concentrations

Eh, do over.

>Coupling of surface temperatures and atmospheric CO2 concentrations during the Palaeozoic era

God damn it I can't believe Al Gore managed to control the minds of so many scientists

Richard Alley, not you too?!

>Look back over the history of our planet. There is NO meaningful correlation between CO2 and temperature

If it were opposite day, you'd be absolutely right.

http://www.nature.com/nature/journal/v446/n7135/abs/nature05699.html

"Our estimates are broadly consistent with estimates based on short-term climate records, and indicate that a weak radiative forcing by carbon dioxide is highly unlikely on multi-million-year timescales. We conclude that a climate sensitivity greater than 1.5 °C has probably been a robust feature of the Earth's climate system over the past 420 million years, regardless of temporal scaling."

>(stop saying citation needed, it's not my job to educate you).

Unsourced claims are as good as hearsay. Anything I say in this thread can be backed up by peer-reviewed sources if anyone asks. I'm sure if there really was this massive horrible flaw with the GCMs in the IPCC report, then surely you would have an authoritative source for such a bold claim.

Don't be a pussy, this looks legit

Meanwhile in actualfuckingscienceland, CO2 has been found to correlate with temperature even on a Mya timescales.

>the big picture

Because massive changes happening in decades is the exact same thing as massive changes happening over hundreds of millions of years amirite

That's why evolution is bullshit and creationism is commonly accepted scientific paradigm on how God gave form to our Earthly bodies.
