I need some math clarification. I need to find a limit of a "infinity - infinity" espression and I know the answer but I need a way to prove it;

Question goes:
Does sqrt(x^8 + 1) - sqrt(x^8 + x^4) have a limit and if so what is it?
I know the limit is -1/2

One road I've been down is to try and make it a "0*infinity" epression so as to make it a "0/0" expression and then use L'Hôpital's rule but I fail at getting to a sensible "0/0" expression.

Any experts out there?
