I honestly prefer some guy going like yeah we'll have this working in five years, rather than someone being like we'll start working on it in 20 years, even if it's bullshit. Elon time is a well known thing at this point, I think he's even said himself that he throws out these ambiguous timelines to motivate people to progress faster. Compare NASA and SpaceX

Of course that was never going to happen and even the basic rocket still isn't finished, but at least they now have an upper stage that can do the flip and land. Whereas SLS is Saturn V 1.5 that can only go to the moon
