As someone who has a degree in math, I can say that mathematics is one of the most pointless subjects in existence. For example, consider the use of field extensions to shew that one cannot exactly trisect a 60 degree angle with compass and straight-edge, create a cube of volume twice that of a given cube, or create a square of area equal to that of a given circle. This proposition is completely useless because one could just use Archimedes' neusis construction to obtain an exact trisection. In fact it is doubly useless because even if one restricts to compass and straightedge it is very easy to construct an approximate trisection to any degree of accuracy one desires, and in fact this is the best possible result since the instruments we use are composed of discrete atoms. In fact it is triply useless since one can draw a 20 degree angle with a protractor. I have a 4.00 GPA. Or maybe I only have a 3.999... repeating GPA since mathematicians think they are the same thing.

If Real Analysis is so difficult, how did Drumpf get an A+ in it as part of his Economics degree?
