philosifag here, I have two problems with this list and I thought you should know.

1. Philosophy in shit tier? Sure, some of it, but philosophy has many many branches. What if top tier was listed as 'science' instead of physics, biology etc etc.

2. psychology in low tier? WTF is that?!

Is there anything an aspiring Scientist should know before pursuing or to better prepare himself?

I am 19 and male, I got a 63% average in high school (i wasnt an under-achiever, i wasnt an any-achiever, i just played Starcraft and Warcraft 3 all school years). I am very confident in going into University and excelling academically despite my poor academic past. The basis of me wanting to be a Scientist is that I love the idea of being on the frontier in technological and scientific breakthroughs that benefit humanity and actively contributing. Although I know that with that said its almost the equivalent of someone saying "dude being a porn star is so cool you fuck for a living (there is always SOME catch that makes the job shittier than advertised).

But I am willing to tough that shit out and chase my dream and the ugly truth behind the glorified veil of science.

What kind of advice would an aspiring scientist benefit from?
