So, why are you guys still single?

I just heard that my old high school cancelled all math classes beyond algebra because of the poor budget, and to get its test scores up (apparently its a loophole in the NCLBA that allows that), and also heard similar stories from other people across the country, and want to know if this is true for some of you guys as well. USA btw.

My girlfriend is better at math and science than me, now I have this strange hesitant feeling about this relationship, not sure if I want to stay in it anymore. What do, /sci/? :(

So Einstein made a metaphor of how the speed of light is the "universal speed limit" (or so a source claimed). Would it be possible to increase the speed of light, ergo allowing us travel at faster speeds?

why don't girls like science? whenever I do meet and try to date a girl that does, maybe even majoring it in as well, they're usually too shy to do anything more than talk, even when you're trying to get them to hang out with you they always go "I'm not sure," and coop themselves into their rooms the entire weekend doing nothing. And when it comes to girls who aren't majoring in science or taking any such class, the second you mention that you do they always go "Oh, I'm not good with that" and shy away from you. Why? Just fucking why?

Am I the only one here that thinks the recent NASA budget cancel was an anti-science move by the right wing? I mean, I'd explain why I feel this way but it's rather obvious what me think that considering the *wing that presented the bill, and that other and more expensive budgets are kept to remain.

With the recent NASA predicament, what with some of it's funding about to get pulled and possible future expeditions cancelled as a result, I've finally made my decision to move out of this country. And I'm wondering what country /sci/ thinks I should move to. I'm leaning on Switzerland of sorts, but do give suggestions.

My high school prohibited me from taking the SATs.

How does /sci9k/ deal with the inevitable fact that our intellect is going to untimely leave us forever alone in the end? It makes one want to kill themselves, doesn't it?
