The bridge between stochastic processes (or the densities that capture them) and partial differential equations is pretty fascinating, and the integrals are fascinating. I agree that it's rather frustrating how there aren't to many examples once you go beyond the simple examples that have analytic situation. But on the flip-side, that stuff is actually useful. I work in tech and do nothing all day but trying to speed optimize Bayesian estimations on a Lie group.

Pretty sure that's a Scala programmer or something similar and "category theory" here means function composition and mapping over lists.
Not that I'm against the influence of those notions to the mainstream, but if category is explicitly declared just the means, then it doesn't fit the meme.
