— Here you need to start with the cameras. The "Luna-25" has an STS-L complex of 8 cameras. It consists of two landing cameras, which are installed at the bottom of the device and "look" at the surface during landing. The data obtained from them will be used to create a high-precision landing system for the next lunar missions. Accordingly, after landing, they will stop working.

In addition, there are four panoramic cameras on different sides of the device. If everything goes as planned, the device will be on the surface almost as soon as the Sun rises above the horizon. On the first lunar day (the lunar day is called the lunation), they will shoot a panorama. We will try to do this as often as available resources (telemetry volume, consumption) will allow. As a result, it will be possible to mount a "movie", as the panorama around the device changes during the day. And there are also stereo cameras that will monitor the work of the LMC.

Since we do not yet know what we will see, we will draw up a specific action program for the next lunations based on the results of observations received during the first lunation. It will be more difficult during the second and subsequent lunation, since panoramic cameras are designed to work only during the first lunation, and after a lunar night they are unlikely to be able to work. Plus, according to the experience of past missions, usually good ideas on how to conduct research come from the analysis and interpretation of the first data received.
