A well run base society is a product of two pareto biological factors: human intelligence (or g-factor, or IQ, or whatever you call it) and human pro-sociality (aka altruism, sharing etc).

We want to make people smarter and we want to add the caveat that they are also not psychopaths. if we can do this effectively, then exploring the solar system is just a game, to be played by everyone.

as for the controversy over how biological these factors are, ignore it. conservatives will tell you need to work harder. liberals will tell you we are all the same. they are both wrong.

if these factors can be significantly increased at the biological level, then we can have ten NASAs, a hundred SPACEXS, in every country on the world.
