Chernobyl was a breeder reactor. Obviously it can blow up. But not like a nuke. More like some kind of dirty bomb.

official closure dates for all nuclear power stations in the UK
2023 Hinkley Point B and Hunterston B
2024 Hartlepool and Heysham 1
2028 Dungeness B
2030 Heysham 2 and Torness
2035 Sizewell B

Hinkley Point C is under construction since 2018, there are already delays and problems with construction and costs are getting higher and higher. A similar plant is being build in France since 2007 and it's still not operational.
The UK needs a nuclear reactor to stay a nuclear power, but there is no demand for more then one.
Also there is always a risk of a nuclear plant blowing up somewhere in the world. This usually shifts public opinion and delays or kills many nuclear projects.

nuclear is dead, since Chernobyl, almost new pant has been build since, and almost no plants are being build or planned, old plants are retiring and being replaced by natural gas, wind and solar, it's over, it's over man, over, over, over. don't you get it?

Cutting back on regulations will not save money, it will just make it explode and destroy your investment.

because it's not profitable, also atomic plants tend to blow up, nobody wants this in the neighbourhood

>If you put the reactor in the middle of the Sahara

You obviously lack basic knowledge. All nuclear plants are build near the sea, a river or a lake. Because you need lot's of water for cooling. If cooling fails you get a meltdown and your plant is history.

atomic power is very dangerous
atomic power is very expensive

that's why no new plants are build and old plants blow up or shut down
there will be no atomic power plant in the US in 2050,

atomic power is outdated and can not compete any more, almost no atomic power plants are build and old plants shut down or blow up, there will be none left in a few decades

Nothing you say is true. Also we talk about economic efficiency. How long will it take to earn my money back? How big and how safe are my profits. Wind and solar already won this battle. Wow do I know? Almost no new coal or nuclear is build. All the money goes to wind and solar.
