Hey /sci/ how do I become better at talking to people?
I'm a very open person and always question things people say, it seems that most people don't like this but I'm not willing to stop, just might change my approach a little. Like when people spout obvious bullshit or some dubious fact I will pick up on it.

Example
Friend: Did you know that you should get 7 hours of sleep exactly per night?
Me: I don't think it works that way, pretty sure it varies from person to person and it's never going to be an exact figure. There will be an upper and lower bound and even those would be flexible.
Friend: No it's 7 hours exactly, that's the best amount.
Me: No as I said before, it doesn't work that way. Where did you hear this?
Friend: It's true, I read it on Cracked.
Me: You really think Cracked is a reliable source for everything?
Friend: Fuck you you are really annoying to talk to.

Seriously, what did I do wrong?
It happens a lot.
