I didn't know tensors were this in-depth, when I think tensor I think "a vector with magnitude". Is a tensor really that complicated or am I really over-simplifying?

Proof from a source in the last five years? All of the earlier programs that lowered reproductive rates through education, access to birth control, and female empowerment have turned out to be short lived. These programs were never scalable and once the NGOs left, even the test groups reverted to their natural high reproductive rates.
Fifteen years ago we were convinced the population bomb was defused through westernization of the third world. Now all of the optimistic population forecasts have been revised back upwards due to the complete failure of these once promising programs.

>CO2 must have done it!
>there's no way any of those afforestation/reforestation efforts or the spread of agriculture into more marginal environments could have anything to do with it!

Actually, oceanic pH has already dropped measurably, by more than the variance. (Note that the reason readings vary by time and location is that the oceans aren't actually homogeneous, and chemistry does vary over time and location. It's not just noise, like you imply.) And take it from a fucking INVERTEBRATE PALEONTOLOGIST, small changes in ocean pH can have MASSIVE consequences on calcareous marine biota.
