lol. welcome to the party.

every so often you get anons hating on tripfags and are like "fucking tripfags! this is an anonymous board, they are all attention whores, anonymity should be forced"
tripfagging allows the conversation to flow and to be easily followed by all, it also prevents impersonation, and confusion as to who posted what.

sure hun.

the box is open topped, so it has no top face.
i knew a cube would be the optimum for volume (its just logic, if the box has to be square based...the same reason a square is always the largest area for a fixed perimeter, compared to a rectangle of the same perimeter)
so of that 4m^2 material i have to play with, it will be 5 identical faces for teh cube (because no top face) this means one face has 0.8 m^2 of material to work with.

square root that to find the length of a face, and as it is a cube, this is the length of all dimensions.

for the mosaic, we want it to be square at the end, and this means that when we need to split up the 12m^2 into factors, and have it so that one length is 2 meters larger than another.
so x(x+2) = 12
x = (\sqrt 13) - 1.
so the other side is 2 more than this, so it is (\sqrt 13 +1)

we are adding 4 to the shorter side (2m on both north and south) and we are adding 2 to the longer side (1M both east and west)

and in both cases this comes out as \sqrt 13 + 3 which is 1 side of the big square mosaic floor.

hope you followed that.

FUCKING THIS!
seriously, the hell is wrong with you people???

in fact, there are more females than males (52% to 48%) and that means that if every single guy pair bonds, 4% of the world population (a twelth of all females) would be forever-alone.jpg.

you guys have no fucking excuse, you are the limiting resource here.

firstly, the sphere you hollowed out would immediately be refilled, due to such high pressure, the surrounding core would collapse in and fill the space.

..hypothetically, if this didn't happen, then the water would rest on the outside of the hollowed out sphere.
this is because you will be unable to pour it EXACTLY to where the centre of earths mass is, so it will be slightly closer to 1 side of the earth, and further from the other.
this would mean that gravity pulls it (very slowly at first) towards the side of the earth it is closest to.
