not the dude but measuring bodyfat is a bit iffy, as how the fat is distributed on the frame depends individually on genetics.
the fat that is the biggest health hazard is visceral fat.
using bodyfat% as a metric brings up lots of other questions that might not be productive to engage in
BMI seems much more conclusive and robust as a metric as it already incorporates two pieces of information and puts them into relation
maybe its also important to point out that what BMI is considered healthy depends also on the age
from a practical standpoint picking bodyfat as a feature is impractical as its hard to measure and likely most literature is targeted towards addressing BMI
i also dont see how bodyfat would give significant relevant additional information over just using BMI
