This illusion I face each given day is sinful, as it tells me I should be wary of death, when death itself says nothing, and allows me to have belief of my own. If I were to die, would anything really change? I've been dying since the day I was born, I came, I saw, and I die.

Sometimes I think about what life would be like without knowledge of death -- some say that it would be harmonious, nature ebbs and flows, like a wild animal hunting, not afraid of death, but rather life, as it is all it knows. If it gets hurt it blames life, and if it dies it is unaware.

Oh, I can see you have nothing better than a reaction image. I guess the cat got your tongue.

Or should I say... The clouded leopard got your tongue? How does it feel like Scia, being under her tongue?

>She had, at the age of fifteen, turned a Tennis ball inside out. No cuts, incisions, holes, or anything.
>It was true that she was human-derived, and if one could scratch through the fur, one would find the basic algorithms that run humans, but on a less simplified level, she was completely alien, and her algorithms were either entirely different (On their details, but not on the general structure) or marginally different. People always thought the children would solve the problems the adults couldn't solve because they thought different – She wasn't a child but she still thought differently, a true posthuman who went unnoticed.

Every transhuman fictional character ever.

Alternatively:

(Cue violin music)
At last, his own time came, and he knew that he was dying, and he was not sorry, even though he had never had a life that was worth living. No friends, no wealth, no family, no companionship, no nanotech revolution, no Golden Hour. His only dream had been to build a starship and flutter out among the stars. Nothing had happened, nothing, not a thing. He had never loved or lusted after anyone, except one person, someone who wasn't quite a person, one that was probably long, long dead, who had probably died happily and calm and confident.
In the ending, he wanted to know something, and he called to a nameless one (or to his successor) far beneath the ground. He called with his mind till it was a scream.
"I have helped your people."
"Yes," came back the faintest of faraway whispers, inside his head.
"I am dying. I must know. Did she love me?"
"She went on without you, so much did she love you. She let you go, for your sake, not for hers. She really loved you. More than death. More than life. More than time. You will never be apart."
"Never apart?"
"No, not in the memory of man," said the voice, and was then still.
CCM lay back on his pillow and waited for the day to end.

Having a fictional waifu is not a waste of time when you get something productive out of it.
