I saw friends of mine cheat throughout high school and college. Some even tried to hand me a note which contained answers but I held strong and just hung in there. I know work at KFC while they are lawyers making a shitload of cash even though they cheated their entire academic career. Would I deny the note again? FUCK YES! Principles are literally all that I have and I'm proud of them. I may not have a big house or a fancy car BUT I never, EVER feel bad about who I am and I never doubt myself. They may have a classier, socially more attractive life but at least I can look myself in the mirror every day and feel good about myself. That's priceless.

Also, raped as a kid.

And how the fuck do measure these emotions and their relative importance?

Are we all supposed to take a vote, on which emotions are to take priorities over others?

That's why I think virtue based ethics are more practical, and just....right! They are divorced from your personal, individual experience. It's still nothing concrete, but it's just a little closer to concrete.

I think it's better to have our ethics based on a consensus of an abstract value, rather than pontificating about which groups suffering is greater than the others, because with the virtue system you have that ultimate value to come back to, even if it's somewhat arbitrary, whereas with emotions you are just constantly guessing as to who's subjective feelings are more....substantial. But there's no basis beyond that for which to help decide on how to judge that subjective suffering....if you get me.

Pantheism seems completely nonsensical to me. If God is everything, then that is just like saying everything is everything. God is God. It's meaningless.

Time and causality don't exist. Our experience of time is an epiphenomenon, a product of our memory. There is nothing but consciousness, which has no mass. Human experience is the product of consciousness in the form of a brain. Everything is completely random, and unbounded randomness will eventually lead to order which is our world of "laws".

That's my theory, based on nothing but my own bored thoughts.
