What does /sci/ think of aliens. Lately I've been wondering if maybe the entity we know as "God" is some extremely advanced extraterrestrial or transdimensional life form. Certainly, it's probable that there is other intelligent life in the universe. Who knows just how advanced that life might be?

Jees, those differences are vast.

Give it a few centuries. When humanity has asecended its current state and travels the stars, we might just choose to gift one world with life, and, through careful pruning, turn it into an enormous artificial thinking entity; a whole world, where the very plants and animals come together as a part of a carefully crafted neural net, which will, eventually, bloom into consciousness.

We might have moved on, by the time it is finished, or perhaps other life, as intelligent as we once were, shall walk beneath the glades of the forest, bask in the sunlight, and live in the trees. And they shall look upon this world we created for them, and they shall tell stories of those who came before from the sky, and commune with the long memory of the world that nurtures them.

And then, they shall begin their own journey, down the long road to the stars.
