You are a brain in a vat already. The vat's your skull.

Nothing you experience is real. Is that light you imagine you're seeing? Just electrical impulses, friend. Can you feel your feet? If your spinal cord were severed you wouldn't.

Nothing you experience is real. You are living in an illusion, a controlled hallucinatory experience.

You're welcome.

you will never be able to control your character in this world in the third person.

Comic related.

I want to be able to control my character in the third person.

I hate that when I look out my head i can see the edge of my own eye sockets. It's almost like looking out a window but focussing on the glass itself instead of whats outside. Except, I can't alter this perspective!!

I hate seeing that semi transparent outline of my own nose. I don't quite know how but all this makes the experience feel less authentic. Like, what does it matter if my television reaches a glorious 1080p HD resolution if I will forever be limited to this perspective? Even though I don't need glasses, it still feels much less than perfect.

This is also why i hate first person shooter games.

It also makes me sad that i will never see what i look like except in a reflection or recording. Or for that matter, directly how or what other people see.

Of course it doesn't matter at all because this is the only way i have of experiencing anything at all.

Perhaps what makes us human is our capacity to get hung up on things like this. Things that shouldn't actually matter. Who else feels this way? I'm guessing all of you at one point or another. You'll obviously have seen the comic but I get the impression very rarely do people understand never mind relate to what I say. What are we going to do about it? Nothing. okay.jpg
