When researching the side effects of something: who can you trust? Sometimes there are user reports and studies suggesting side effects that are not listed on the package insert. Some side effects are temporary so I guess one can take risk but sometimes they are permanent. Should you avoid taking anything unless it's absolutely necessary?

No electricity is always negative, because electrons are negative, they are always trying to escape the opposite direction you send them. Theyre also subatomic so this whole comparison is fuckin stupid.

Hey /sci/. Needing to take the science PLACE test in order to start a career in teaching. Wasn't my first choice, but finding something I went to college for is near impossible in my area. I'd like to know if you guys know if there are any study guides I can cop online, or if any of you have experience with taking this test, and any tips you may have. Thanks.

How toxic is melamine? I used a little melamine cup to melt butter in the microwave, I noticed that it tasted funny. Am I going to die of cancer?

Hey /sci/. This is my first time posting here, so bear with me.
In about a year I will be finished with school and go on to university in the following fall. My goal is studying CS, for which I need a minor in mathematics. There's one problem, though: I suck at mathematics. My marks have always been barely above the sufficient margin, but lately they've dropped a whole mark down.
I'm afraid I won't be able to pull off that minor in mathematics, so I thought of studying beforehand (Starting this summer or so).

Do you think I'll be able to do it, following your sticky? Thanks.

Should I go study theoretical physics? I have great interest, but will it land me any sort of actual job?

Could a super advanced civilization that has long ago left quantum world and into a new dimension of physics be seen as magicians/supernatural/gods/etc by the smartest/rationalist/logical human group of current generation?

Schizophrenia has a common onset in people of about college age. Mental illness is one hell of a drug.

Question to all hard scientists.

Do you trust your doctors with your life even though they dont know anything about quantum mechanics? I stopped seeing my doctor 5 years ago due to me having better knowledge about quantum mechanics than the doctor I was seeing.

Oh my god, /sci/... I didn't think you were serious....

You're now watching two strangers discuss your question!
Question to discuss:
If you drop a ball on the moon, what will happen to it?
Stranger 1: It'll float?
Stranger 2: CAnt drop it from the beggining.
Stranger 2 has disconnected
