I had a stray thought last night, and started wondering exactly how much energy is contained in a human body.

So, knowing next to nothing about physics and science, I'm here to pose the question as well as I'm able.

If a 100kg man were to have all of his atoms split, in the same instant, what would the energy output be capable of?

Let's ignore that this is horribly, well, impossible. Also ignore any clothes, etc. Exactly 100kg of mass. An overweight man, sure, but that's not the point. It's a good round number.

Inside of Earth's atmosphere, what would this do?

Outside?
