My theory is that the aspies of /sci/ thought they could create enough actual science content to far outpost troll threads without the help of more outlandish, speculative /sci/ posters; so they drove such posters off /sci/. The barren wasteland before us is the result.

Should I contact my academic references every time I use them as references? One of my professors implied that, but I'm going to be doing a lot applications and I don't know all of them right now.

What would my professors need to know about where I am applying? Would simply telling them that I'm applying for several internships be sufficient?
