A successful /sci/ would need to be capable of some degree of intelligent self regulation to maintain quality and discourage any deviation. The average demographic dictates that self regulation and the feedback loops people are subject to, and obviously that's the problem. I tend to assume they get what they want, but I wonder if they really do. If everyone is frustrated with everyone, and they all shitpost as a result. Any newcomer either eventually being worn down and doing the same, or leaving.
