Hmm, shouldn't we be excited about all the non-cryptographic applications of a working quantum computer?

In any case, I'm not terribly worried because
A. My porn is merely personally embarrassing, not illegal. What, is the FBI gonna call me up to laugh at me for having some furry porn? It's not like I've ever had any dark secrets that qualified for needing encryption that NO ONE could crack.
B. Where the fuck would the FBI get the time to search through every person's computer? They'd need some sort of reason to check initially because otherwise they'd just be wasting a lot of their time.

two simililar cylinders have volumes 12 pi and 324 pi. if the lateral area of the larger cylinder is 108 pi, find the lateral area of the smaller cylinder

I want to write a /co/mic with a /sci/ence twist, i wanted to make a mutant that can merge {gluons, bosons, photons & gravitons} into 'union' particles..

I wanted him to have control over matter in a different way, so close to him he'd fuse electroweak then have infite gravitational & EM control..

Is this stepping to far? would it not go down well to moderate science enthusiasts?

So, Dark energy is the force of an explosion of coliding membrain/universes fighting the gravitational pull between them?

Then when they get far out enough (flatening the sheet/membrain) then gravity takes over causing the next big bang!?

FUCK.

Well I think it's only natural people stumble on the paradox that a human, or group of humans, could make/invent something smarter than itself. It's easy to think of a group of humans as one entity or think tank, if you will, that can be smarter than a single human ergo why can't they make something that ranks inbetween the collective and the individual intelligence. Even still however we are dealing with the "superstitions" of a super empowered and almost omnipotent hyped type that has free, unrestricted and unsupervised reign over it's self-improvements, moreover it's imminent domain. This kind of self improving technology is unpresidented to non-researching types of people - this should be the _common_knowledge_ everyone here should have already taken into account; the closest thing we have in all apparent-hood ('non-technical understanding') to this kind of technology is self-repairing plastics but these aren't even close to the realms of intelligent products despite their intelligent, functional design and furthermore I doubt a lot of those aforementioned non-researching types of people have even heard of these plastics either.

For me this topic is pretty old but keeping in mind other people's perspectives this shouldn't be the place for people to belittle each other or link their explainations away. There is already a huge technocratic divide in knowledge so unless code is being swapped there is no need to increase it with haughty discourses as this is the seed to the yet to be full-known conflict that is silently on the rise.

tl;dr common knowledge mother fucker, does your angsty ass have it?

Hey guys, I have my finals on multivariable calc and linear algebra next week. I'm trying to remember things we did in the beginning and looking over notes/hw/tests etc but it just won't stick.

do you guys have any useful links that can do something like a crash course in the topics and maybe have some example problems? I already know about paul's online math notes and the mit classes on youtube, but just wondering

thanks bros!
