Depends what goal are you after. The scientific method is to a large degree a product . committing exclusively to a single method isn't going to do you well. Try epistemological anarchy. The belief in 'realism' and objective reality has done more to prevent scientific discoveries than to further them. Think, most of the great scientific breakthroughs were based on departures from commonly accepted methods and epistemological ideas.


I'm not opposed to science per se, but rather to scientism as an ideology. It tends to be rather authoritarian and elitistic. Science becomes dogma, everything else becomes heresy. When it's all really language games, narratives bound by arbitrary rules, bound by culture and economy. What we now regard as theoretical physics, may, in the course of time be seen as some esoteric religious philosophy akin to Kabbalah or Hermeticism
