It's a better plan just to accept death--because the track record of predictions about scientific innovations (as opposed to technological or engineering innovations, major difference) have not exactly been accurate.

Plus, we don't even know that the digital copy of the brain will ever be anything more than a disembodied simulation.

Just accept death. We will die just as surely was we were born. You will bring a lot of suffering upon yourself if you convince yourself that you will live forever.
