Yes, school and education are incredibly important for your adult life. This thread is a good example of why education is so important, and how the American schooling systems are failing to prepare students with a basic understanding of the world. We can start by having higher qualifications for public teachers, and by paying them more.

I'm not sure that this is the case. In my high school there was a program specifically designed to prepare students who were interested in going into trades.

Just because you use fear mongering words like "nuclear" doesn't mean there's actually any reason to be frightened of them. Clinical outcomes are good, and safety profiles are high.

Just because you read about someone who had a hard time discontinuing them on the internet doesn't mean they are statistically significant. And if a medication is effective, and safe, why would one even need to discontinue taking them?
