The true intellect uses Vedic metaphysics with Buddhist morality. If you read the Dhammapda is literally a life manual. Every question you could ever ask yourself is in there and the best way to handle/answer it. Imagine the smartest people you can imagine sitting around for decades thinking about and debating everything about life and debating amongst themselves the best answers to the questions then writing it all down like an instruction manual.
