At least then you can pass your alcoholism off as just partying/sowing wild oats, etc...Plus, you'll have more fun, and you'll come out of college with great memories if not a sub-par gpa--and those memories will make you happier in the long-run.

I've been recommended "The Problems of Philosophy" by Russell so far.
