Hello /sci/, brainlet here.

Say that you are in a spaceship traveling at around 2000000 mp/h or 3218688 km/h (arbitrary value, just imagine that the spaceship is traveling fast) towards the earth, while observing it through a telescope mounted onto that spaceship. Your current position is light years away from earth, so you'd see ancient events from earth as you watch it. Now since the spaceship is traveling so fast and the light from the earth is traveling at the speed of light to reach you, wouldn't you basically observe everything on the earth fast forwarded the faster you travel towards it?

Can you explain to an idiot how ancestry tests work like the ones where you spit into the vial. I cant really find anything on how they work anywhere.

Conceptually speaking, in what way is an integral an "anti derivative"?

As I understand it, derivatives are changes of one property with respect to another calculated by tiny points converging to a particular point. Integrals are the combination of tiny points. How does that make them inverse?

recommend a brainlet (me) a book on theoretical physics. not for a specific subject, a text that gives me an idea of how theoretical works. something that explains why we integrate here or use a fourier transform there. that kind of stuff

How do I solve this equation for x?
[math]16^{2^{x}} = 2^{16^{x}}[/math]
Even though it seems simple I'm struggling, my intuitive answer was 0 since then both numbers would be raised to 0, but turns out it's not how powers work

My brain just can't grasp true randomness.
