Evening

How come animals can create most of their own vitamins, but humans need to consume almost everything though food?
Does it have any advantage?

Its been on my mind lately.

Prepping for a test. Need help in a couple of problems.
I'll just list the problems out and please see if you can help me out, any help is appreciated. I just want a push in the right direction, not the answer.

1)Fine the area of the region common to the graphs of r= cosΘ and r=sinΘ

2)There are two spheres with radius 2 and tangent to 4x-y-z=2 at the point (1,1,1). Find their equations.

3)Find the parametric equation for the parabola y=x^2 using as parameter the slope m of the line joining the point (1,1) to the general point (x,y) on the parabola.

4) Prove that the distance between two parallel planes ax+by+cz=d1 and ax+by+cz=d2 is
|d2-d1|/sqrt(a^2+b^2+c^2)

I appreciate any help. I'm going to have to solve similar problems for the test. pic unrelated

I have 8 hour lucid dreams every night.

I take 30mg melatonin throughout the day and recite the litany to induce subconscious awakening whenever I see my trigger sheets I scattered around my house.

feelsgoodman.

OP here.

I have several years experience enrichment teaching already (doesnt require certificate). Once I get my degree, I will be made head of my department.

Not really concerned about not getting a job as a teacher, since that just means that I will have my high level of education to fall back on. (and thus be paid significantly more than what I would be for doing what I want to do)

You say I should run experiments in the field Im interested in, but I am seriously at the point where I *cant pick a single field*. Of all the preposterous problems to have, I am an undergrad with a graduate-level understanding of Math, Comp Sci, and Physics! (well, 400 level on physics)

And yes, my understanding is that the ability to turn physics/engineering problems into software engineering solutions is an extremely in demand capability.

For being someone who gets computers to do what physicists(/engineers/mathematicians/etc) need them to do, and be able to communicate with them, is it better to pursue formal education in Comp Sci, Physics, or Applied Math?

(Herpetology is mostly just a hobby, not a possible career. I was trying to show range of interest.)

>1.000 is written.

Did I mean 1,000 or 1(with 3 decimals)?

i guess i'm confused by gene expression, and more specifically, the effects of a major depressive episode on the brain. i've read that they last 8 months, but why? and does exercise decrease this time?
