Hello folks, I'm curious, is CRISPR a normie meme that wont be functional for years to come or is it something that i can hope to see used in medicine within the next couple of years?

Im curious because i have mild psoriasis of the scalp, its not visible nor does it really bother me but in cases of stress i get flare-ups and they can be quite annoying.

My question is, can i hope to get a cure for minor diseases like psoriasis or other minor genetic problems?

Can an adult even benefit from CRISPR?? I heard that it is ONLY viable for modifying unborn babies and that any genetic modification done to an adult would be fatal.

Is this true?

Will we get ANYTHING out of this technology within the next say..... 5-10 years?

Or will we have to wait more like 40-60 years for any actual use from this technology.
