I will begin by answering the question:

What you assert with this question and your stance on the matter are actually polar opposites. Emotion would likely cause me to impulsively violently strike you- landing me in prison or as some other ward of the state justice system. Or perhaps emotion may cause one to sit there and cry and/or scream, lamenting the misfortune that was recently bestowed upon him or her.

Logic and reasoning would cause me to act intelligently to perhaps quickly analyze what you are doing, why it is bad and how to stop and/or punish you optimally. Then I would/could choose from a plethora of options including but not limited to causing you harm in a calculated way that minimizes my own harm.

I don't fear those things; I acknowledge their possibilities, causes and relevant factors and I live my life by a series of decisions meant to minimize that which I find unfavorable.

Emotions are NOT my primary driving force in life though I do realize that they are for many if not most people (especially most females with whom I have interacted in a prolonged relationship.)
I am the next stage in human evolution. I am my own creation: a product of my intelligence and ever-increasing ability to analyze and act appropriately and aptly.

These are highly excellent points. I was mainly speaking to those mechanics and expressions manifested by our not suppressing/controlling our emotions.
I was not the poster that initially spoke about lacking emotions, and as far as hedonistic human reward is concerned, I don't think it is most prudent to take a "que sera sera" approach to how we experience this action/ emotional reward system. We should choose how.

I've figured it out.

If you just want something to dictate how everything is, then go be religious.

If you want to know more about the universe, and are satisfied with knowing that the questions are the meaning of life, then stick with science.
