In the universe of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams we are introduced to Arthur Dent, a man living in a village somewhere in the proximity of London, England. Dent is presented as a rather absent minded and oblivious man, to the degree that “he woke up blearily, got up, wandered blearily around his room, opened a window, saw a bulldozer, found his slippers, and stomped off to the bathroom to wash.”(Pg. 3-4) Dent is neither the hero nor anti-hero of this story. Dent is a glorified side character, useless, bad in a crisis, un-charismatic, confused, and in a constant state of mental haze. In a unique twist Douglas’s usage of rampant absurdity serves to highlight Dents humanity. Paradoxically a normal, human nature such as Dent’s is actually a queerer occurrence in a universe ruled by absurdity then the absurdity itself. Through the usage of the information presented in this paper I will prove that Arthur Dent is the origin of the absurdity in The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy.

QM is more of a group effort than the other two, so it's really hard to give all the credit to one person.

If there's one person who deserves it though, it's Erwin Schrodinger.
