One can hold batshit views on things like evolution, cosmology, history etc but still make you a good coffee. Having opinions from the 19th century doesn't stop you functioning.

Hey /sci/, here's some undergrad schools I'm looking at. I've read that undergrad name isn't as important as the work I do there, but I'm still paranoid as fuck. In the engineering field, how well-known/respected are these schools? (I omitted the obvious ones, of course.)

>University of Maryland, College Park
>Georgia Institute of Technology
>Purdue University
>UCalifornia, Berkeley
>Johns Hopkins University
>Cornell University
>Columbia University
>Duke University

Just want to get a general "feel" for how recognized these schools' undergrad engineering programs are.
