The one type of criminal in America EVERYONE hates is the child molester.
Just the accusation is enough to ruin a person socially and enough to have them lose their job, ESPECIALLY if you are male and even worse and older White male.

Talking to the guys at work and we all agreed that under no circumstances short of a child bleeding to death in front of us do we ever interact with an unknown child.
If we see a child crying in a store, we look for a woman to go and and talk to the child, we do not even talk to the child.
It is sad, but the down side FAR outweighs the upside.
