Hold on a second there. "most" theists? The reality about "most" theists is that they aren't the ones picketing for creationism in school, for death to those that perform abortions, and mass conversion of those that disagree with them on faith matters.

Most theists will never appear to be theists unless you ask them flat-out what their views are. Most theists are fairly content with not shoving their business everywhere.

Don't confuse a vocal minority for an overwhelming majority. It's the same problem of categorization when theists think of loud, angry, anti-establishment atheists. Small groups of extremists can color entire movements.
