This is a defensive posture, which in the current environment is largely ineffective. Offense is the way to go, either by spearheading narratives or redirecting anti-space ones. Bonus point if you get to call these people racist, for both ironic and practical reasons.
And by the way, the best way to move past this woke shit is to weaponize it against the powerful. The moment the ruling class becomes inconvenienced it'll disappear.

A quick and dirty example using starlink: reference starlink as a means to help impoverished and minority groups (true). Then paint those against starlink as being against it because they hate minorities and don't want them to access the internet (probably false but it's not like these people care about truth so w/e). Or say that they value their billion-dollar white man telescopes more than bringing these communities up to speed.
These people have been bringing guns to a fistfight for a long time now. If they're seriously going to impede the progress of our species they can taste their own medicine.
