Hello /sci/. I'm trying to find out when was an explanation for the nature of lightnings that didn't rely on the supernatural first given, can't seem to find anything so I thought you guys could help.

Also interested in what exactly a ball lightning is.

Hey sci. I was wondering if there somehow was a way to make aspirin( or any other anti-inflammatory, pain-killer) into a local anesthetic. Or, if there is a way of quickly making a local anesthetic out of common household items.

If space is expanding, surely something that is (just) inside the event horizon could escape it as space is created between the black hole and the EH?
