That's what I hoped for. Then I started lurking Physics forums where people were bitching that you're pants-on-head retarded for getting a PhD, since you're now overqualified for everything above professorship at a rural community college.

Dr. Robinson, a statistician at my university, told me to go all the way to get a PhD. He has a friend who works for shell and makes $20k less per year because he settled for a Master's. I know PhD pay is better, but that's assuming you actually FIND employment.

I am currently enrolled in my school's IB Diploma program, and I am struggling to come up with an extended essay topic. I'm doing the essay in biology and my current plan seems a tad flimsy. So far my idea is to find the active ingredients in the Monster energy drink and experiment on plants. My control group would, of course, be the same plant but grown with water. I feel like i might run into some trouble with this because if i just pour monster in a plant then there is more than one variable, and I'm not so sure I can find Inositol (with the little research I've done, i think this is the ingredient most detrimental to your health). Any Ideas /sci?
